Tastykhana is a food ordering website. You can place your order by calling at 3300 6464 or order and pay online.

Is TK a restaurant?
We are food logistics experts and we allow you to order your favourite cuisine from different restaurants and deliver the food at your doorstep.

How do you accept payments?
We have COD( Cash On Delivery), Online Payment via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking and Payment on Phone as well.

What are your working hours?
Our operating hours are from 11 AM to 11 PM for phone orders.(365 days at your service). You can place online orders at your leisure 24*7.

Do you have any loyalty scheme? How does it work?
We give Trinkets (1 TR= 1 Re) as loyalty points. You earn trinkets every time you order from us, book a table or write food reviews. You need a minimum of 250 trinkets to redeem them.
- Trinkets can currently be redeemed against your home delivery bill.
- You earn 2% of you bill value as trinkets if you order online and 1% if you order on phone.

Can I gift a meal to somebody?
Yes, you can order from any restaurant in the city and gift a sumptuous meal for your loved ones and we make sure it is delivered. .. The money can be collected from your residence or you may bank transfer the same to our account either online or by CASH. For online orders, you can directly pay through your credit/debit card or via net banking! Who is/are the owners of this company?
We are a Private Limited company with no single/multiple owner/s. We have board of directors and a sound management team who run this company. For more info about them, Click here

How old is this company?
We started our journey four years (Young at heart) ago in the city of Pune.

The site is not opening on my computer/laptop. What could be the reason?
One of the reasons could be’ browser incompatibility’ to certain browsers. Our website currently doesn't support IE (Internet Explorer) 6.0 and lower versions. Recommended browsers are IE 7, IE8, IE9, Mozilla Firefox and Chrome.

What are your charges for the delivery services?
Our delivery charges start from Rs.30 for nearby orders. Our software calculates the applicable charges when you place the order and this depends on the total bill value and the distance of delivery from the concerned restaurant. These charges would be clearly shown to you when you order online. In case of phone orders, our customer support executive would explain you the charges. We maintain complete transparency in this. Delivery charges may change as per market forces.

Do you deliver anywhere in pune?
We cover most of PMC areas - We do not deliver in PCMC, Katraj, Hinjewadi, Wagholi etc.

I do not have internet at home, how can I access the menus?
Just call us on 020 33006464 and we will assist you in placing your order from the restaurant of your choice.

Can I place orders in advance?
Yes, you can. Either call us on 020 3300 6464 and give your order or place advance/future orders online.

What is the advantage of ordering from you? I can call the restaurant directly and also get free delivery in the process?
A7.Restaurants havea restricted delivery area, busy phone lines in peak days, varied customer service and manual order tracking whereas our delivery area is much larger than the restaurant. Also many restaurants have outsourced the logistics completely to us. Even if you call them they will ask you to call us. We also store details of your past orders and multiple addresses, so re-ordering is very easy with us. You have a single number saved in yourcontacts & single bookmark in your Browser for all your food queries. Isn’t it exciting! Now, you can also order from your smartphone.

Do you have an alternate number? Won't I get engaged lines?
We have dedicated PRI lines with multiple extensions nsuring your calls would be answered in a jiffy (read instantly)! In case, you are kept on hold and you hang up, our alert customer support team would call you back to take down your order!

How much time does it take for food delivery?
Delivery time depends upon the order value and distance of delivery from the restaurant. For e.g. an order value of Rs 200 and delivery within 1 km, expected delivery time would be 30 mins Every time you order us, the time taken will be either told by our customer support or will be displayed while you place the Online Order.

Can I place order online? Is it monitored regularly?
Yes, of course! Every order placed online is tracked within minutes if not seconds! Orders placed online are always processed faster than phone orders.

Are there any benefits for placing orders online?

I order very frequently. Do I get loyalty discounts?
Yes! We request you to go online once and register yourself for free on www.tastykhana.com. All points earned would be shown in your profile. NOTE- only online registered users earn points.

I went online to order, but I don't see some items and I also have some special requests. How can they be handled online?
The items listed online are the ones the restaurant delivers home. For special requests- please mention the same in the 'Notes' section and our customer support executive would make sure it is handled appropriately.

I need my order in office by 12 PM, but I won't have the time to place the order in the morning? What's the solution?
Go Online! You can place advance orders on our website for any future date. All requests would be handled at 11 AM the following working day so that you get your order bang on time! Happy Mealing!

I have specific food queries on certain food preparations- Can we directly speak to the restaurant and also keep you in loop?
Of course- Just ask the executive to put on a conference call with the restaurant. Three way talks would ensure there is no communication error. We prefer Delivering Commitment at your convenience

How do I know that your Food Delivery Expert (FDE) (read delivery boy) is charging me the correct delivery charge?
Please make sure you receive an official delivery receipt (if charges apply). DO NOT pay any charges if the receipt is not given. Also the customer support executive would tell you the delivery charge that you need to pay while placing the order.

Do I need to tip the FDE?
Not necessary, but doing so would make him happy.

I have placed my order directly at the restaurant; do I have to repeat my order to you?
Yes, our FDE cannot be dispatched if the order is not added in the system. We need complete details of items ordered and the delivery address.

I am a special customer of the restaurant, they have agreed to send alcohol home, will your FDE get the same?
We are sorry, but we won't be able to deliver alcohol. Delivery of alcohol is currently not permitted by law in India.

Do I have to pay any tax on the food amount?
The tax levied varies across restaurants; some restaurants have all inclusive prices whereas some restaurants charge taxes extra. You would need to pay taxes, when mentioned in the bill.

Can I order from a restaurant that is not listed with you?
No, we deliver and process orders only from those restaurants that are associated with us.

What are in zone and neighboring zone restaurants?
We have divided entire PMC area into zones with detailed mapping down to the road level. If the restaurant you are ordering from comes within 2-3 km radius, then it is called 'In Zone' restaurant. The restaurant in the next immediate zone is called 'Neighboring Zone' restaurant.

Why you don't take some orders after 10:30 PM even though the timings are till 11 PM in the night?.
As explained in the above question, we only take 'In Zone' orders after 10:30 PM and our automated system won't allow any far off orders in spite of your insistence to our customer support executive for the same. To ward off any such inconvenience, we would request you to place long distance orders well before 10:30 PM. Any personal favours, special requests unfortunately can't be handled and we request co-operation from your side. Our Customer Support executive would help you to order from ‘in-zone’ restaurants to ensure you get your favourite cuisine in time.

How can you track our order status?
You can visit the site & with the Unique Order no, you can track the Status of your Order. Or, you can call 020- 3300 6464 and give the customer support executive your unique order number (which you get via SMS or via phone). & he/she will let you know the real time Status.

I don't get any SMS from you in spite of your executive telling the same for the order no and approx delivery time.
There could be several reasons for not getting the SMS namely you would have opted for 'Do Not Disturb' registry where in you won't receive any promotional SMS from third party, congestion in network on festivals/important days which delays the messages or our SMS gateway not functioning properly.. To avoid this inconvenience, please ask for order no and approx delivery time with our customer support executive while giving the order.

Your call centre shuts at 11PM, what if my order is still pending after that time?
Don't worry! We would ensure that no matter what the time is, you get your order as promised. Our delivery managers would be monitoring the orders till the last order is completed successfully. Any status update/issues/problems would be directly communicated to you by our team.

Can I pay online?
Yes, we have started accepting online payments via credit card/debit cards or internet banking. Order at your leisure and pay instantly. No more fretting on loose change or rushing to a nearby ATM.

Can I place the order on my mobile?
. Yes, you can. Just open the browser of your smartphone and go to www.tastykhana.in/m and place the order.

How does table reservation work? Do I get confirmed booking if I book through TK?
Don't worry! We would ensure that no matter what the time is, you get your order as promised. Our delivery managers would be monitoring orders till the last order is completed successfully. Any status update/issues/problems would be directly communicated to you by our team.

My table reservation was confirmed by TK as well as the restaurant, but still when I went to the restaurant, I was made to wait!
TK only passes your information to the concerned restaurant and they confirm your reservations. You are requested to be 10-15 mins before your stated time at the venue to avoid inconvenience. In the weekends, public holidays restaurants sometime don't confirm any reservations after 8:00 PM (for dinner) and after 1:00 PM (lunch) and any reservations placed after those times would directly be a walk-in. In all such scenarios, restaurants have the final authority to cancel any reservation without prior notice to the customer.

How do I pay for my food order?
TastyKhana offers multiple modes of payment: You can pay via Cash on Delivery, Credit card, Debit card or Netbanking. Payment via phone is also available. TastyKhana and our trusted payment gateways use SSL encryption technology to protect your card information.

I received a wrong order, will my money be refunded?
Yes, if you decide to cancel the order, else we will replace the parcel at NO EXTRA cost to you.

Some of the items I ordered for are not present in the parcel!
We will refund the amount charged for that item. If you opt to replace the item, the same will be delivered back to you at NO EXTRA cost.

The food has spilt out of the container, will I be charged for the same?
No. We will refund the amount charged for the spilt item. We also provide the option to replace the dish at NO EXTRA cost.

The food arrived late and was cold, I want a refund!
If the food is delivered 20mins beyond the promised time:
- The delivery charge (if applicable) will be waived off.
- If delivery charges were not applicable a 5% discount* will be provided on the total order value.
If the food is delivered 30mins beyond the promised time (VERY UNLIKELY):
- The delivery charge (if applicable) will be waived off + a 5% discount on the total order value will be provided
- If delivery charges were not applicable a 7% discount* will be provided on the total order value.
If the food is delivered 45mins beyond the promised time (VERY RARE!):
- A 10% discount* will be provided on the total order value and delivery charge (if any) will be waived off.
If the food is delivered 60mins beyond the promised time (RAREST OF RARE CASES!!):
- THE ORDER IS FREE*
- *Please note the maximum refund provided will not exceed Rs.500

I want to cancel my order; will I be charged any money?
As you may have read on the restaurant’s menu, orders once placed cannot be cancelled. Once you confirm your order with us, we instantly transmit the orders to the restaurant kitchen. Hence cancelling an order is not possible, even if you decide to call us minutes after confirming the order. You will be charged for the order.

I processed my order, but realized I missed some items, how can I update my order?
If you want to place the order online – You will need to place a fresh order for the missing items.
You may also call us and ask the agent to update* your order – You can opt to pay for the added items via cash on delivery OR pay via your credit using our secure phone based payment system.
*If the boy has already left with the order, you will need to place a fresh order.

The bill given to me is higher than the amount I paid online, do I need to pay the additional amount?
It is your choice. You may refuse to pay the additional amount. Unfortunately restaurants many a times do not update us on the price hikes and hence we are unable to update the rates. You may pay the difference via cash to the delivery boy.

The bill given to me is lower than the amount I paid online! How do I get the refund?
We will charge you only the amount mentioned on the bill. You will not be charged a single rupee extra.

I am told that the menu rates mentioned are higher than the restaurant prices, with TK fees, credit card charges and other fees loaded. Am I paying more?
No. The prices you see online are the same as the home delivery menu of the restaurant. So if a biryani costs Rs.100 for delivery at the restaurant we will list the same at Rs.100 and not a rupee more.
All additional fees, such as delivery charges, taxes, container charges etc will be clearly mentioned as separate charges.

You have option to pay using credit card via phone, is this secure? Do your agents store or have access to my card details?
ALL payment options (including phone based payment) are using RBI approved secure transaction systems. Our payment gateways use SSL encryption technology to protect your card information.
Our agents NEVER have access to any of your bank or credit card details. TastyKhana does NOT store ANY bank or credit card information in its systems.

I am ordering for the first time – I am being asked to pay in advance via credit card! Do you not trust your customers? I feel offended!
Unfortunately some customers have misused the service and placed fraud orders and as the item that we are delivering is food and cannot be re-used, we have introduced this step. Also this is just a ONE TIME process, for all your future orders, you need not pay in advance.

Can I pay via cheque?
Yes, but the order will be processed ONLY once the cheque is processed. So you will need to order a few days in advance. We accept cheques which are payable "at par" at Pune.

How does Cash on Delivery work?
Pay cash to the boy when he arrives with your food. Simple!

Can I use SodexHo, Accor, Ticket Restaurants or restaurant meal vouchers to pay for my order?
No. We do not accept payment via these modes.

I am a loyal customer of the restaurant and they provide me a special discount, will TastyKhana also offer this to me?
No. Please check with the restaurant directly.

I see that TastyKhana is providing certain discounts and deals on delivery, but the same is not available at the restaurant!
Certain deals are exclusive only to TK customers. You can avail the offer only of you order from us.

How do I pay using a Credit/Debit card and is it safe?
We accept all VISA, MasterCard (only Indian). Customers will need to key in their 16-digit Credit/Debit Card number and the 3 digit CVV Code (Card Verification Value - found on the back of the card) and complete the payment flow.
All Credit/Debit card details remain confidential and private. TastyKhana and our trusted payment gateways use SSL encryption technology to protect your card information.

I want to gift a meal to a loved one can I pay on his/her behalf?
Yes. You may pay us using any of the payment options and we will deliver the order.

I am outside India and I want to gift a meal to a loved one in India. Can I pay using my international credit card?
No. Currently we are accepting only cards issued in India. We do have other modes of payment (via international wire transfer), please call our helpline to know more.
