Mayur, a Gujarati Thali Restaurant was started way back in 1974, at Chinchwad by Mr. Ishwardas, Kantilal, Abhay & Praveen Chordia. Located at Mumbai - Pune Highway, Mayur has been the answer to many hungry commuters as well as regular guests, over the last 29 years. Leaving for better business prospects, Mr. Abhay was left to take charge of the restaurant business, while the others explored different businesses . Initially priced at just Rs. 3.50/- per thali, the changing times and varying tastes of our privileged clientele has helped us time and again to augment the standard and quality over the years. The thali comprises 2 snacks, 4 vegetables, dal, kadhi, chapattis, bhakri / puri / paratha, plain rice, masala rice / khichadi, curd and chhaas which is made using less oil taking special care of the needs of customers. Today priced at Rs. 130/-, Mayur caters to the finest people in and across the world. Inheriting the qualities from the elders and merging it with the latest technologies and trends, the second generation has skillfully taken over by establishing themselves with a new branch at �East Street, Camp, Pune.� Started in November 2001, on the auspicious day of Dassehra, by Mr. Amit Chordia, son Mr. Abhay Chordia, along with wife - Pushpa Chordia, the restaurant has been acclaimed by their loyal guests, who play a very important role in developing the goodwill of the restaurant by giving a constant feedback and valuable suggestions. Both having completed a Diploma in Hotel Management & Catering Technology successfully at Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune have managed to give the restaurant a professional outlook. Also, in the pipeline is Mr. Abhishek Chordia who has joined his father at Chinchwad and is gaining practical knowledge of the business .
