Well, we can go on and on, but when we asked our customers, they said:

"Freshly made desi wraps, curries and biryanis delivered in super quick time. That’s Faaso’s. We haven’t spotted any beautiful waitresses there though, just so that you know what to expect."

Faaso’s was born right here in Pune circa 2003 out of a late night conversation (not dry, of course, and hence we didn’t remember the next morning why we had called it Faaso’s). As you can see, we are lousy writers, our pedigree in food was nothing better – we looked back 5 generations and did not find anyone who had ever run a restaurant in our family tree.

Probably it helped, as we made just the stuff that we liked and kept it like that all the while – kebab rolls/wraps, biryanis, curries, parathas. No artificial flavours, no articial colors, no frozen stuff (we saved some money on freezers), no cutting corners (we never learnt it). Everything freshly made to your order, every thing hot. A typical order for a wrap at Faaso’s sounds like:

"A chicken tikka wrap with no onions, extra cheese, no mayo, double egg , medium spicy, cut in half" – and you thought only cappuccinos are made to order.

We are now 10 outlet strong and still growing in Pune - a million thanks to you awesome Puneites for loving us just the way we are. Soon we will venture out beyond Pune to the wide wild world that is "rest of India". But, then, you lovely Pune people, we will always remain what one of our favorite Tweeps said "Pune’s own Faaso’s"
