Launched in 2007, TastyKhana.in is one of the first food ordering online portal in India. TastyKhana provides a platform for restaurants across the country to connect with millions of customers.

The platform has the widest assortment of restaurants from variety of national, international and regional cuisines across diverse cultures like Indian, Chinese, Mughlai, Thai, Continental, Arabic, Snacks, Italian, Pizza, Rolls, etc. TastyKhana has a network of more than 5000+ Restaurants, and has over 1,00,000 members and caters to the taste buds & convenience of customers across 8 cities.

 2. MY ACCOUNT, LOGIN & ALERTS

2.1 I don’t remember my password OR username. I Need Help!

Don't worry. Here's what you need to do:

  1. Click LOGIN on the top right of the site page to access the login page.
  2. Click Forgot Password? or Forgot Username? link available on the bottom right of the login page.
  3. Enter your e-mail ID in the displayed field.
  4. We will send you a link in your e-mail.
  5. You can reset your password instantly by clicking the link.
  6. For Username, enter your registered mobile number and we will send you a SMS with your username.

2.2 Do I need to sign up before I order anything on TastyKhana?

Not at all. You can order as a guest.

2.3 Are there any perks of signing up on TastyKhana?

Yes. There are definitely a few advantages of signing up:

  1. You will have quicker and smoother transactions.

  2. Your past delivery addresses will be saved so that you don't have to enter them all over again in your next order.

  3. You can track the history of every order with their details in your account.

  4. You will be able to earn and use Trinkets through various promotions.

2.4 I don’t wish to receive any e-mails from you anymore? What should I do?

You can unsubscribe from our e-mails by clicking the ‘Unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of the E-mail you have received from us. You will do us a favour if you let us know your reason(s) for unsubscribing, so that we can keep this in mind and serve you better in the future.

2.5 I am concerned about the privacy of my personal information I have shared with TastyKhana.

 3. TRINKETS

3.1 What are Trinkets?

Trinkets are "points" that can only be used on TastyKhana to order food. Trinkets are non-transferrable. TastyKhana reserves the right to amend policies related to distribution/redemption of Trinkets by members.

3.2 Can I transfer my Trinkets balance?

No. Trinkets are associated with your TastyKhana account only, and cannot be transferred to other accounts.

3.3 How can I procure Trinkets?

Look out for contests, cash-back offers and other special promotions that are run on the site and offline from time to time. You can earn Trinkets by participating in these.

3.4 Can I use Trinkets to place an order on TastyKhana?

You can use Trinkets to order on TastyKhana.in. However it may not be applicable for some of the promotions.

3.5 Why should I use Trinkets?

The Trinkets feature lets you conveniently make purchases on TastyKhana

Each Domino's Pizza order is verified by an IVR call or an SMS, so kindly ensure you verify your order and the phone number is genuine.
  1. Maintain Trinket balance and make multiple payments without entering card or bank details every single time you place an order.

  2. Simpler and faster checkout process.

  3. Simpler and faster refund process.

  4. Failed payments are no more a concern.

3.6 How do I sign up for Trinkets feature?

You are not required to sign up separately for Trinkets. Simply log in to your TastyKhana account to begin using the Trinkets feature.

3.7 How do I load Trinkets?

In order to top-up your Trinkets:

  1. Log in to your TastyKhana account.

  2. Go to the Trinkets link on the 'Dashboard'.

  3. Enter the gift voucher code you have received from us from various promotions done by us online and offline.

  4. Upload the gift voucher code in the box proved.

3.8 How do I view my Trinkets balance?

In order to view your Trinkets balance:

  1. Log in to your TastyKhana account.

  2. Go to the Trinkets link on the 'Dashboard' to view your balance.

3.9 How do I redeem Trinkets balance?

In order to use your Trinkets balance:

  1. Add orders to your cart.

  2. Go through the usual check-out process.

  3. In the payment step of check-out, choose Trinkets as the mode of payment.

3.10 What do I do if my Trinkets balance is insufficient?

In case your Trinkets balance is lower than the total amount payable for your order, you can make a partial payment using your Trinkets and then pay the remaining amount using any of the other prepaid, online payment options. Please note that Cash-on-Delivery cannot be combined with a Trinkets payment.

3.11 I have Trinkets with multiple expiration dates in my account. Which one will be used when I place an order?

If you have Trinkets with multiple expiration dates in your account, the Trinkets with the nearest expiration date will be used first, then the Trinkets with the next expiration date and so on. You need to be logged into your account to view this.

3.12 Can I delete my Trinkets?

Since Trinkets is associated with an account, it cannot be deleted separately. Trinkets as a feature is designed to expedite your payments & refunds on TastyKhana. You may choose not to use it.

3.13 Why am I not getting an option to use Trinkets for my order?

Please check if you are logged in. You can use Trinkets to purchase an order only when you are logged in.

If you are logged in and you still don’t get an option to use Trinkets, your cart could be containing items which cannot be bought using Trinkets.

Your Trinkets balance will be shown on the Order Summary page just before you are taken to the page with payment options. You may choose to use Trinkets along with another payment mode to pay for your order or use only Trinkets to complete the order.

  4. SERVICE GUARANTEE AND REFUNDS

4.1 What is True Kare?

True Kare guarantees your purchase and gives you 100% of your money back in case we falter on our commitments.

TastyKhana strongly values customer satisfaction and understands that you may be worried what will happen to your money if you are buying online. We want you to be 100% satisfied with your ordering experience on TastyKhana, and the quality of the food and service you receive.

4.2 Why does TastyKhana have a service guarantee?

Our mission at TastyKhana is to ensure that once you place your order with us you won’t go hungry. We try all means possible to make sure that you receive your order on-time and in good condition. We go this extra mile because we know what it feels like to be hungry and helpless. Actually that’s how TastyKhana started in the first place.

4.3 What is the service guarantee and when do I get a refund?

If we cannot deliver to you as per our promise, your food is free. This means:

  1. Any order, if not delivered within 30 minutes beyond the assured arrival time mentioned in the Order Confirmation E-mail, you need not panic. Your order is covered under True Kare guarantee.

  2. Any difference in the price of the item billed to you by TastyKhana and the actual bill delivered by the restaurant then the difference paid by you will be refunded to you as Trinkets.

  3. If there is an item missing then we will try to replace it within an acceptable time or refund the amount as Trinkets.

  4. If, after placing your order, the restaurant decides to not deliver your complete or part order for any reason then we will contact you with the option of shifting the order to another restaurant or you can choose to get a refund as Trinkets or we will simply reverse the transaction amount to the medium (Netbanking, Credit Card, Debit Card, etc.) used by you while making the payment to us.

4.4 Are the any limitations to the service guarantee?

Even though we have the most honourable intentions of always being able to cover our guarantee there are certain days when it’s not possible:

  1. The service guarantee is not applicable on public holidays, special occasions like New Years eve, on Ganesh Festival , Christmas and Durga Pooja , the service guarantee may be withdrawn temporarily in view of difficult operating conditions for delivery and on other days when the chosen restaurant is experiencing heavy traffic as during a very attractive promotion.

  2. Menu Price guarantee won’t be applicable on such days as well, since some restaurants hike their prices for high traffic days without informing us in advance.

4.5 Why is there a Limited Guarantee on Cash-On-Delivery payment option?

For cash-on-delivery, since your transactions are directly executed with the restaurant(s) we are unable to cover the same transaction under True Kare guarantee. For COD we only cover the menu price guarantee where the refund is done via Trinkets.

Incase of any dispute arising between you and the restaurant, we do step in and try to resolve the same for you. We, however cannot assure you a refund guarantee.

4.6 I was unhappy with the service. How much time do I have to apply for a refund?

Sorry if we were unable to match your expectations.

You can apply for a refund only within 24 hours of placing the order on TastyKhana.

You will do us a favour if you let us know your reason(s) for the same, so that we can keep this in mind and serve you better in the future.

4.7 Do I get a partial refund?

Yes, you can apply for a partial refund incase there are some items missing once you receive the order from the restaurant and incase the restaurant bill is lesser then the online paid bill.

4.8 How do I request for a Refund?

  1. Login to your account and then navigate towards 'Refunds' link.

  2. Click the ‘Initiate Refund’ button next to the desired order.

  3. Choose an option which best matches your reason from the drop down.

  4. Choose Bank Account as refund option and click proceed.

  5. We will review your request and start processing your complaint. If required they will get in touch with you.

  6. You can review the status of your refund related issues in this section itself.

  7. Upon verification we will process your refund(s).

  8. Alternately you can also E-mail us at wecare@tastykhana.com. Please mention your order Id as the Subject line. Incase the order Id is not available with you, please mention your mobile number along with the date of transaction.

4.9 When will I get my refund?

Your refund will happen as per the below mentioned timelines. Please note that the refunds are dependent on external agencies such as banks, payment gateways etc.

Trinkets Within 48 hours
Debit card/credit card/netbanking 7-10 working days from the refund initiation date
NEFT transfer 7-10 working days from the refund initiation date

4.10 I paid cash on delivery, how would I get the refund?

If the mode of payment was cash on delivery (COD), all refunds shall be processed via Trinkets only so you can place another order without any hassles.

3.11 What is the Refund Policy for Trinkets?

In case you have used Trikets with multiple expiry dates to place an order and the order is partially/fully cancelled, the Trinkets with the farthest expiration date will be refunded first and then the second farthest and so on.

  5. ORDERS AND STATUSES

5.1 How do I check the current status of my orders?

You can review the status of your orders and other related information in the 'Order History' section.

In the 'Dashboard', click on the 'Order History' link to view the status of all your orders. To view the status of a specific order, click on the 'Order Number' link.

5.2 What do the different order statuses mean?

Payment Pending Authorization: Your order has been logged and we are waiting for authorization from the payment gateway.

Payment Authorized, Order under Processing: Authorization has been received from the payment gateway and your order is being processed by the seller.

Order Cancelled: The order was cancelled.

Successful Orders: Your order has been successfully serviced.

5.3 Can I cancel an order, once placed?

No. We apologise for the inconvenience.

Once an order placed it cannot be cancelled or updated as we at TastyKhana have a live order transmission system in place at most of the restaurants. This ensures that the order reaches you in the committed time frame and in warm condition.

5.4 Would the restaurant serve thermocol/ plastic plates, bowls or spoons? I don’t have cutlery or utensils to eat the food.

Unfortunately, most of the restaurants don’t have thermocol/ plastic plates, bowls or spoons. Hence it is advisable to have your own arrangement for the same.

5.5 Is 24x7 home deliveries possible from the restaurants?

All the restaurants operate between 11.00 AM to 11.00 PM. Orders placed after these time frames cannot be processed. However, you can still place advance orders 24x7.

  6. PAYMENTS

6.1 Is it safe to use my credit card on this site?

Absolutely!! All transactions on TastyKhana are 100% safe and secured by True Kare. We work with world-class payment gateways to process your payment and ensure secure ordering for all our customers. No financial data is gathered without a secure layer transaction. All the information is processed using SSL data encryption (secure encrypted connection), which protects the information from being viewed by anyone. The iframe that gathers financial data is completely secure and is posted through a HTTPS.know more.

6.2 My transaction failed but the money was deducted from my account. What do I do?

Your money is safe and will be refunded. Do not worry. You can track the refund process live from 'Dashboard' under your Account.

6.4 I don't have a credit/debit card. Can I still make a purchase at TastyKhana?

Absolutely! You can try either of the following modes of payment:

  • Netbanking - You may use your internet-enabled bank account to book an order online.

  • Cash on delivery - You may choose to pay money on the actual delivery of your order(s)) at your place.

6.5 What are the different modes of payment on TastyKhana?

You can use any one of the following payment methods:

  1. Credit card (Visa/ Master/ Amex)

  2. Debit card (All leading bank debit cards)

  3. Netbanking (For all leading banks )

  4. Cash on Delivery (Available on select restaurants)

6.6 Are there any hidden costs when I make a purchase on TastyKhana?

None. We will never hide any cost from you. The price and charges mentioned on the site are final.

When you are buying TK Offers, please go through the fine print to understand offers by select restaurant(s).

True Kare guarantees this. Check how you can claim refund if you had to pay extra.

6.7 I would like to pay when my order is delivered. Is that possible?

Absolutely! You can make use of our Cash on Delivery option. By selecting this payment option, you are required to pay money on the actual delivery of your order(s).

6.8 What is COD?

COD refers to Cash On Delivery. It doesn’t matter if you don’t want to use your credit/ debit card or use internet banking. You have the option of paying for the order at your doorstep. Just place your order and make cash payment upon the delivery of your order.

6.9 Can I pay cash on delivery for every order I place on TastyKhana?

The cash-on-delivery option is not available on all restaurant orders.

6.10 Can I pay by cheque upon delivery of my order?

Sorry, we cannot accept cheques. It is advisable to keep the money ready when the delivery is expected.

6.11 Do you accept Sodexho, Ticket or any other food meal vouchers?

Unfortunately we do not accept payment via Sodexho, Ticket or any other food meal vouchers.

6.12 Do you accept Maestro Credit/ Debit Cards?

No. We regret for the inconvenience. As of now we do not accept maestro credit/ debit cards. We will intimate you once we start accepting the same.

6.13 What to do if payments fail on Mobile Apps Orders?

6.14 Does you app and payments work on EDGE and 2G networks?

Yes they do work on Edge and 2G networks. However, we strongly recommend you to use 3G network or secured Wi-Fi for smoother and faster transactions.

  7. PURCHASING ON TASTYKHANA

7.1 I haven't received any SMS/e-mail confirmation about the order I just placed on TastyKhana. What should I do?

You can get in touch with us via Live Chat or email us on wecare@tastykhana.com. Alternately you can also fill in our Contact Us form with your transaction details and we will look into it asap and will get back to you with the confirmation.

7.2 I don't know how to order online. What should I do?

If you are not comfortable paying online, you can choose the Cash on Delivery option and pay on the actual delivery of your order.

7.3 How do I know my purchase is complete?

You will see a confirmation message on the screen along with your order number. You will also receive order details over email and SMS to confirm your order.

  8. GIFT VOUCHERS/ COUPONS/ PROMOCODE

8.1 Can I buy/gift a Gift Voucher, Food Coupon?

As of now we don’t sell Gift Vouchers/ Food Coupons. However you can always send us an E-mail request on wecare@tastykhana.com for the purchase of the same and we will advise you with the next steps to the same.

8.2 How do I make a purchase with a Gift Voucher?

Simple!

Go to www.TastyKhana.in and place your order

When you are ready to checkout, click "Proceed To Pay", the same as our regular checkout. Enter your Gift Voucher code in the "Enter Voucher Code" field.

If the amount of your Gift Voucher doesn't cover your order total, you will be prompted to select an additional payment method.

IMPORTANT: Funds will be deducted from your Gift Voucher at the time you place your order. In case of any adjustment at a later stage, we will (re)issue funds as Trinkets.

8.3 Does an Gift Voucher expire?

Yes. All Gift Vouchers expire. Expiry date is mentioned on the GV itself. Please read the voucher details & terms and conditions before using the GV.

8.4 Can I use promotional codes with Gift Vouchers?

No. TastyKhana.in Gift Vouchers/ Promocodes/ Coupons have the same functionality hence you will not be able to use both of them for the same transaction/ order.

8.5 Is there a limit on how many Gift Vouchers I can use on a single order?

You can use one Gift Voucher only per order.

8.6 What terms & conditions apply to Gift Vouchers?

  1. The TastyKhana.in Gift Voucher (GV) can be redeemed on TastyKhana.in only.

  2. GVs cannot be used to purchase other GVs.

  3. Only One GV can be redeemed against an order.

  4. If the order value exceeds the GV amount, the balance must be paid by Credit Card / Debit Card / Internet Banking / ATM Card / Trinkets.

  5. If the order value is less than the amount of the GV, the outstanding balance (after deduction of order value) will reflect under Trinkets balance in the your 'Account' section.

  6. GVs and unused portions of GVs will expire as per the terms & conditions mentioned on you GV.

  7. GVs cannot be redeemed for Cash or Credit and are non-transferable.

  8. TastyKhana.in is not responsible if a GV is lost, stolen or used without permission.

8.7 What to do if my Gift Voucher/ Food Coupon/ Promocode is showing invalid or expired?

We recommend you to carefully read the terms and conditions before applying the GV. The expiry date for the GV is also mentioned on the copy of the GV you have received from us. Incase any further assistance is required on the same please feel to contact us via Live Chat or on wecare@tastykhana.com.

9.1 Guidelines For Writing Restaurant Reviews

Restaurant reviews on TastyKhana are a great way to help other customers decide where to order from, what to order, and what to avoid. Here are some tips to writing great Restaurant reviews:

a. Have you tried the food from this restaurant(s)?

It's always better to review a restaurant service you have personally experienced. Hence, you can ONLY add a review once you have ordered from that restaurant.

b. Educate your readers

Provide a relevant, unbiased overview of the restaurant. Readers are interested in the pros and the cons of the services provided by the restaurant. Make sure your review stands the test of time, and what you write today is relevant even after years.

c. Be yourself, be informative

Let your personality shine through, but it's equally important to provide facts to back up your opinion.

d. Get your facts right!

Nothing is worse than inaccurate information. If you're not really sure, research always helps.

e. Stay concise

Be creative but also remember to stay on topic. A catchy title will always get attention!

f. Easy to read, easy on the eyes

A quick edit and spell check will work wonders for your credibility. Also, break reviews into small, digestible paragraphs.

9.2 What's Not Allowed?

Customer reviews should be relevant to the restaurant in question. The restaurant review section on TastyKhana is for you to share your opinion on the restaurant, and for other customers to research better. TastyKhana reserves the right to remove reviews that include any of the following:

  1. Irrelevant review (Review consisting of a combination of random characters, random words, repeated content, reviews on another restaurant.

  2. Service feedback, including availability, order or payment related queries (Please use the Contact us form for the same.)

  3. HTML embedded in text

  4. References to other restaurants

  5. Pricing related comments

  6. Personal information (Phone numbers, postal address, email address and others)

  7. Profane comments

  8. Inflammatory comments

  9. Copyrighted comments

  10. Plagiarized content. (Any content found elsewhere on the internet, even if you're the original author)

  11. Promotional content

  12. Reviews by or on behalf of a person or company with a financial interest in the restaurant or a competitor's restaurant (reviews by authors, artists, publishers, manufacturers without disclosure)

  13. Reviews written for any form of compensation

  14. Reviews given using fake ids, irrelevant user email ids

  15. Asking for helpful votes

  16. Review in any language other than English

  17. Feedback about errors in the restaurant description, menu, etc.
